I found all the Americans
While travelling south from Mexico, right down to Nicaragua, I was wondering why there weren't more Americans. Now, I know everyone who lives here is technically American, but since US citizens have more or less taken the word for themselves, and United Statesians, USers, etc... sound silly, for the purposes of this log, I'll refer to people from the United States of America, simply as Americans.
Considering they live right next door to Mexico, and there are just so darned many of them, you'd expect to see a whole shwack of them. I saw more Canadians (many more in Mexico) and German, and UKers(?), than Americans.
But I figgured it out when I got to Costa Rica. They're all here! There's thousands of them, they're everywhere.
I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I like those friendly neighbours of ours, it's just that it gives the Costa Rica tourist industry a certain ... je ne sais pas.
