Unbelievable Tragedy
Occidental/Allegro from Spain owns the Grand Xcaret in Mexico--one of many. Brent's family has never received an apology of any kind for killing their only son, which speaks volumes of the corporate philosphy, and lack of compassion. To feel nothing for shattering a family, friends, and a community is certainly quite disgusting, and it is frightening to think that this is a corporate mentality. It is truly shameful, and they should acknowledge their wrong doing rather than ensuing a court battle with this already heartbroken family. Shame on everyone involved.
A resort such as the Grand Occidental Flamenco Grand Xcaret killed an 8 year old due to the gross negligence and incompetence of management. An $86,000,000.00 resort that built a salt water pool that was so unsafe it violently sucked Brent Midlock from behind into a 12 inch underwater, uncovered drain pipe. Imagine...stealing a child's life because no one could put a protective covering over the opening because they do not value or care about a human life. What a senseless crime. The Grand Xcaret shattered a family, Brent's friends, and a community, and we are confident it means nothing to them. Management redefined the meaning of lying, vial, and evil.
In our opinion the Grand Xcaret should never be patronized. It is our social, moral, and ethical obligation never to promote/advertise so that no other horrific event can ever occur like this again, and literally destroy and impair many, many lifes.
