Doing London in 3 days flat

Well where does it all start? My home in York. 2 hours mainline train strait to King's Cross station then to my hotel and now we really start.

Day 1 Greenwich. Worth a day in itself this lovely little village .. as was a few hundred years ago that is. Visits here included the royal obervatory, the Cutty Sark ( a lovely old 3 mast ship in dry dock ) and the maratime museum. Can spend all day here if you so wish and not be bored. Some lovely local pubs one of which i found let you sit out .. legs hanging from the window and look over the river Thames at the Millennium dome with a pint of guiness in hand =P great stuff.

Day 2 London Central

Well here we go off on the tube and stop in St Paul's. Now that was the easy part. Once you are there you will fall over your self at the majesty of the building. Its absolutly fabulous. Many photo ops and much time can be spent if you have it but no .. we are off! Look there! If you go toward the river from St. Paul's you cant miss the wobbley bridge. Ok ok .. i know .. the Millennium Bridge. A pedestrian bridge built in the new millenium and on first opening .. IT WOBBLED .. and we dont forget history that easy in England =P
Across the wobbley bridge and to your left you will see through the bridge structure the Globe theater. Shakespears globe is a recreation on what was the original site of the old theater. Shows go on there and its worth stopping to see one to get an idea of what the atmosphere was like in the bards day .. if you have time. We dont cause we are off again to the tate modern. Just down the river bank. Not a pretty building IMO but you wouldnt have noticed really because it had a huge blow up "thing" swaying in the breeze right in front of it. Took a while to relise the size of the thing ... wow was it BIG and the museum is huge too. Just a quick walk inside will lead you to a look at some lovely statues down on the floor below a huge hal full of them infact. Deffo worth a stay and look.
Off again back out .. down the river side you can see across there the tower of London. Steeped in history one of the must see London landmarks really. You can take a few hours here and get a tour round by a proffesional worth a shot if you have time.
But we are off down the river a bit further. This time it is a bit of a walk. By now a was feeling the pace tbh. So the leasurly stroll did me some good. Watching a few boats passby ... waving at Ken Livingston in the new mayors building and we are there. You cant miss it. Its tower bridge. Photos and relax with a softdrink wondering why did they paint those huge supports that shade of blue =) Sit in a garden near by and watch the traffic in wonder as 1000's per day just pass over this historic wonder. Hotel time .. pint of beer and sleep ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz.

Day 3 Maddam Tussades
Well with all that rushing around I thought day 3 should be relaxing. MAn was this good. Wandered in to a garden party full of celebs .. hard think for my head to handel was ... because people were in such close contact with the waxworks and were so still and intencly looking at them .. in the "early evening light effect" when you went to see who one of the dummies were and touched them YOU GOT THE SHOCK OF YOUR LIFE! This was exactly how the person who you just touched by mistake was feeling to .. i mean .. starnge people dont come up and touch you very often when you are consontraiting so hard on l;ooking at someone else do they. Just a mile I did first time. Took my mind about 20 minutes to adjust to what was and wasnt real. The .. the some of the staff were wearing makeup of forms that could fool you if they stood still. One killer ... there was a HUGE bouncer type guy stood between the doors in th "royal" room. Well ... this little kid looked, then went to his mum pulled her over and pointed, still approaching the guy he asked "Mum, is this guy real?" Well .. the shreak of pleasure and horror that came out of the lad as he took off running across the room away was pleasure for all as the big man bent over and said "Yes he is!"
I cant put it any other way folks .. gotta do this but take your time here.

Well thats all folks .. for now ... hope you have enjoyed. Oh a quick mention to my sponsors I did all this to get some pics for a website =) Cheap hotels London Thanks
