Nice is very nice!
Bon jour toute la monde et bienvenue au Nice!
It is 10:35am and Gabi (from Melbourne, Australia) and Laura-Lee (from Kelowna, BC) and I are on our way to the lookout point titled Le Chateau Musee Naval. It gives you an amazing view of Nice and the Mediterranean. Our Hotel is again small but very nice, and quite centrally located (which is a treat after Barcelona). It is the Hotel Climat (right next to the "Mr. Bed" hotel)! The weather is humid and overcast, but we anticipate the cloud to burn off around noon . . . just in time to hit the beautiful pebbley beach.
One of our buddies, Gino (a.k.a. Claudgio; Mr. Brazil) rented himself a BMW convertible last night, put on his best suit and raced off to Monte Carlo to gamble. What the heck is he doing on the budget Contiki tour of Europe we are all wondering!?!? ;-)
I am having an absolute blast and have met sooooo many fantastick people. France has really been the highlight of the trip so far. But then again it is only day 7 and we have yet to hit Italy, Switzerland and Germany (I am completely thrilled that they have decided to start Oktoberfest early, I can hardly wait)! Ciao for now!
