Ulrica: Paris and Barcelona, Spain - 2000-09-12

So far so good!

Paris, what can I say . . . it was phenomenal. I will have to go back one day! I went to the Louvre and saw many great things. They say if you would see everything on display in the Louvre it would take you 9 months of continual walking! The Eiffel Tower was a hoot. We were there on a Saturday night and the Mayor of Paris was having a private party. We were unable to go to the top, but the fireworks display that we saw there was brilliant! Today was our only day in Barcelona. I canīt say that I am too impressed. It is dirty and dangerous. Every now and then you get a glimpse of beauty, say a Gaudi building or a statue or something, but other than that it ainīt great. I canīt wait until tomorrow is over . . . it is our long 12 hour bus ride to Nice.
And how am I doing you ask? Iīm alright. Iīve had a bit of a throat thing from the air con. on the coach, but other than that I havenīt been sick or anything like some of the folks on the coach. Tonight we are off to "fancy" dinner and then to a Flamenco demonstration and dance. Iīm sure Iīll be completely beat tomorrow, thank God weīre on the coach all day!

Adios amigos!
Ricky
