The Acropolis
This is the second photo in the collection. Pete, Mark, and I went to Greece and toured the islands for a month after leaving England. We went through Crete and took the famed (and over-crowded sumaria gorge hike). Next was Santorini (Thera), were we met an awful lot of fellow Canadians. Our last isle was Ios, a place I'd like to forget, if I could remember it. We arrived in Athens at 5 or 6 in the morning. Our mission was to see the Acropolis, and part ways. I was to take the train to Olympia, Mark was flying to London, and Pete was to take the worst bus ride of his life non-stop through Europe. When we got to the Acropolis it was not open for a couple of hours, so we slept on the ground infront of the ticket booth. The picture was taken shortly after we were kicked awake, by some attendant guy.
